Saryta is an editor, social justice advocate, literacy tutor, and writer. They graduated from Columbia University with a double major in Sociology and Philosophy. Saryta served AmeriCorps both as a member of the NYC Coalition against Hunger (2005-2006) and as a City Year Service Leader at PS 57 in East Harlem (2008-2009).
After working at both David Black Literary Agency and Penguin Publishing, Saryta headed west and founded the editing and consulting firm, Brave New Publishing. More recently, Saryta has begun to tutor students in grades K-12 in literacy, reading comprehension, and test prep.
Saryta enjoys travel, reading, theater, and the occasional video game binge. They currently reside in Manhattan, New York.
