Thanks so much for your interest in offering your valuable time to volunteer on behalf of Free from Harm! Here you will find information on our three major kinds of volunteer opportunities. All you need to do is determine which opportunities interest you and then follow the link to sign up. We will then contact you with more information and when such opportunities arise.
Pollinators Network
Free from Harm’s Pollinators Network is a virtual community of animal advocates from across the globe who are leveraging the power of social media to have a huge impact for farmed animals. It’s easy, quick and the payoff is enormous! Our Pollinators team is driving thousands of visitors daily and millions each year. In fact, at least half of our website traffic comes from Facebook alone! And yet, we’ve really just scratched the surface of the potential audience we can reach and engage! With your help we can reach millions more on social media with our compelling animal rescue, education and advocacy posts.
Tabling and Leafleting
Free from Harm needs volunteers who will staff our exhibitor tables at festivals and other events in the Chicago area and around the country. We provide you with all the direction and materials you need to interact with people who want to learn about Free from Harm as well as those who want to purchase our sale items (books and t-shirts). During sign up, we will ask for your location so we can match our events with your location.
Rescue and Rehabilitation
Free from Harm needs volunteers who are willing to assist with our domestic bird rescues. Specifically, we need volunteers who can provide one or more of the following:
- foster our rescues for short periods of time,
- administer medication or treatments (according to vet’s direction),
- transportation (trips to vet, foster caregiver or new home)
- visit and care for our rescues when we are away,
- adopt or help us find caregivers who will adopt our rescues.
SIGN UP NOW!
Once you sign up for one or more of the above, you will receive more information. Should you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to contact us.
